What we collect, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and how to see or correct it.

Who is responsible
The business behind this site will be named here, with its NZBN and a contact email, before the site launches. A privacy contact is published with those details.
We follow the Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.
What we collect
- When you book a call or send an enquiry: your name, email, business name, phone number if you give it, the time you choose and anything you write in the message. The booking calendar and form are not switched on yet, so nothing is collected through them today.
- When your business takes up the plan: the contact and billing details of the people we deal with, and the content you send for your site.
- Technical request data: our host processes details of each visit, such as IP address, browser and the page requested, to deliver pages and protect the site. We don't use them to identify visitors.
This site runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, hold the call you booked, prepare and deliver the website plan, invoice you, and keep records the law requires. We don't use your details to market unrelated products, and we don't sell or rent them.
If you don't give us your name and a way to contact you, we can't reply or book a call. You can read everything on the site without giving us anything.
Information about you from someone else
Sometimes we receive personal information about a person from someone else, for example a colleague who books a call for their business. Information privacy principle 3A, in force from 1 May 2026 1 , requires us to take reasonable steps to tell that person, unless an exception applies. We do this when we first contact them.
Enquiries on our clients' websites
When we run a website for a painting business, the enquiries its customers send belong to that business. We hold them on the business's behalf, only to deliver them, keep the site secure and count them for the business's monthly report. Questions about how a painting business uses an enquiry should go to that business.
Who else handles it
- Our booking and form provider, GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), a United States company, once the booking calendar and form are switched on. It stores booking and enquiry details for us.
- Our web host, Cloudflare, Inc., a United States company. Requests to the site pass through Cloudflare's network, which operates in many countries.
- Professional advisers or authorities, only where we need accounting or legal advice or the law requires us to disclose something.
Sending information overseas
Because those providers are based overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. We use providers that publish their security and privacy commitments, and we stay responsible for how your information is handled.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and call bookings that don't lead to a plan: 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of the plan, then for as long as tax law requires.
- Technical request data: handled by our host under its own retention settings, which we don't extend.
Keeping it safe
The site only loads over an encrypted connection, access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it, and we delete what we no longer need on the schedule above. If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner, as the Act requires.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, using the contact details above. We may need to confirm who you are. There is no charge, and we will reply within 20 working days.
Complaints
Please raise any concern with us first, and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The cookies page explains what may change once the booking calendar is switched on.
